Russian archaeologist Viktor Pilipko was awarded the anniversary medal of Turkmenistan
A ceremony of presenting the jubilee medal “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” to Viktor Nikolaevich Pilipko, a leading research fellow at the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Moscow, the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in the Russian Federation reported.
The award was given in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan for significant contribution to the revival of the cultural heritage and spiritual values of the Turkmen people, as well as for the popularization of the work of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
Viktor Pilipko, who has dedicated his career to studying the archaeology of Turkmenistan and is the author of more than 191 scientific publications, expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the high assessment of his work. The award was presented by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev.
