Singer Dovran Shammyev represents Turkmenistan at the Silk Way Star music competition, filming of which began in Astana.
This is the first Asian vocal competition, in which performers from 12 countries participate: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and South Korea, as reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
Turkmenistan is also represented in the jury of the competition. The participants will be assessed by the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, outstanding conductor and director of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan Rasul Klychev.
As the organizers note, a total of 10 episodes will be filmed, and the broadcast in three languages - Kazakh, Chinese and English - will provide an audience of more than a billion people.
Only the 7 best vocalists will advance to the Grand Final, which will be held live on November 22.
In support of the young artist from Turkmenistan, his compatriots are sending him a line from a song with lyrics by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which sounded like the anthem of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2017: “Only forward, my native Turkmenistan!” (“Only forward, my native Turkmenistan!”), the source notes.
