A meeting was held on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons
On October 1, a festive meeting was held on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons at the Central Building of Public Organizations of Turkmenistan. This was reported in the electronic newspaper "Altyn Asyr".
The festive meeting, entitled "Old people are the school of wisdom of society", "You are a guide for the times, an example for generations, elders!", included musical performances and a ceremony to award honorable elders. This event, jointly organized by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the People's Council of Turkmenistan, political parties and public associations of Turkmenistan, was an expression of respect for the older generation.
