Teaching experience


The list of subjects that make up the practice of students studying at the Danatar Ovezov Turkmen State Special Music School under the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory is determined on the basis of curricula for professional areas agreed with the Ministries of Education and Culture of Turkmenistan and approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. Continuous teaching practice, combined with observation, is conducted in the 1st and 2nd semesters of the academic year for 34 weeks, 1 academic hour per week, for 34 weeks for students of the 3rd and 4th year of the Danatar Ovezov Turkmen State Special Music School under the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory in the specialties studied for 3 years and 10 months, and for students of the 2nd and 3rd year of the “Art of Choreography” department studied for 2 years and 10 months. Teaching practice is conducted in secondary schools of Ashgabat, children's music and art schools of the Ashgabat Department of Culture, and children's dance groups operating in Ashgabat.  Students carry out their practice independently or in groups, depending on the specialty they study at the relevant educational institutions.The main goal of teaching practice is to enable future music teachers to acquire a creative approach to the teaching profession using scientifically based forms, methods, and means of organizing their work in art institutions, to develop independent thinking and professional skills, to establish the use of modern teaching methods in practice and master the important principles of training music specialists, and to train modern teachers who will faithfully serve our Motherland, our people, our Hero Arkadag our Arkadag Hero Serdar  who will contribute to the development of our country's musical education and the training of young musicians.The main goal of teaching practice is to ensure that students consolidate their knowledge gained in theoretical classes through in-depth study of the rich work experience accumulated in this area by educational institutions and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for effective use in teaching work, orientation in the teaching profession, and successful implementation of educational and pedagogical work.In the teaching practice, students are trained to develop interest and love for their chosen profession, and are also taught to be responsible in becoming qualified specialists in this field. During the practice, students learn how to properly maintain official work papers that are important for a teacher in the educational process, how to properly use the time of the lesson, how to follow the child's musical development, monitor and analyze the mastery of knowledge, how to work with curricula and programs, textbooks and manuals, sheet music collections, how to appropriately use methodological literature, innovation, and how to make each lesson interesting. Thus, year after year, our school trains music specialists such as teachers of children's music and art schools, orchestra artists, orchestra conductors, bakhshi, bakhshi group leaders, singers, choir artists, choir leaders, music teachers of general educational institutions, music history and theory of children's music and art schools, musicologists, concertmasters, dance ensemble artists, and dance teachers of children's music and art schools.
